Position Overview


NEXT Financial Group, Inc., an award-winning independent broker-dealer, has an opening for a full-time Operational Associate I. This individual will utilize their expertise to maintain, monitor and process information to and from customer accounts, execute updates and disbursements from customer accounts, perform small projects as directed by the supervisor, be diligent on following up on requests and with field representatives and provides advisor support to field representatives by answering questions and resolving issues in a timely manner.

Position Content

·     Process customer checks, journal entries, management fees, federal fund wires, set up and disbursement requests as well as account updates. Reviews work for completeness and accuracy daily.

·     Monitors/reviews service requests submitted by/to our clearing firm for resolution, advises field representatives of any issues related to requests. Respond back to field representatives in a timely manner. All to be done daily.

·     Perform various cashiering duties if needed such as processing of retirement checks, retirement journal entries, retirement ach set up and disbursement requests, retirement federal fund wires, retirement management fees, and check writing.

·     Performs projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.



Knowledge & Skills Required

  • High School diploma or GED preferred

  • 2-3 years of office experience

  • 1-3 years of brokerage back office experience

  • 1-3 years of experience using Microsoft Office

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills required

  • Strong attention to detail, multi-tasking and follow up skills required

  • Must have the ability to be efficient and accurate in a fast paced environment
