Position Overview

NEXT Financial Group, Inc., an award-winning independent broker-dealer, has an exciting opening as a full-time Trading Specialist with NEXT’s Brokerage Operations Department. This individual will utilize his or her expertise to assist the firm in providing order execution support to our financial advisors.

We are seeking a professional with financial industry experience and a current Series 7 license to help our company support our Representatives across the country.

Position Content

  • Receive telephone orders for all products and place orders in the clearing firm system on behalf of NEXT representatives

  • Monitor and review orders entered by NEXT representatives for approval or rejection 

  • Answer order entry inquiries and provide orientation support to NEXT representatives

  • Provide quotes and other financial customer service information to representatives on request

  • Perform trade error corrections and commission adjustments as requested

  • Validate and correct discrepancies in commission and transaction charges between the clearing firm and back office systems

  • Perform quality check/verification of operations processing

  • Monitor reports as assigned by supervisor to ensure firm is meeting FINRA/SEC/NEXT trade reporting and execution requirements

  • Performs projects and tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Knowledge & Skills Desired

  1. High school diploma or GED

  2. Current Series 7 license required

  3. 2 years of industry experience preferred

  4. Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  5. Attention to detail and follow-up skills
